Someone on the beach snapped this photo while we lined up for takeoff. Little did they know what they were soon to witness.
Another shot taken a few minutes later revieled our 737 returning with a large dark trail of smoke coming from one of the engines.
Tower shocked to find out we also have no landing gear. Though it is to late to warn the crew. Maho beach was quickly cleared due to the doomed aircraft about to screem overhead nearly half loaded with fuel.
Skiding to a stop with sparks and flames flying.
Finaly stopped and abandoned. Terminal was evacuated for fear of an explosion. No one was hurt but the aircraft was a complete loss.
