The quality of the shots is awesome! :o

It looks so real....which is probably a bad thing considering how it turned out. :P

Pictures were Great even if you went out with a bang ;D

The scenario you created:
Always Always if you are going down have a controlled crash.
Unless you have the Altitude to pick your landing area...
keep your nose down...speed above stall ...and no turns.
Turns only increase the chance of a stall...you want to control the aircraft right to the end.
In my opinion the gear in your scenario would have been better left up.
You are doing something right...your practicing with a sim :)

Cheers....Happier Landings....Doug :)

My grand father was on the only QANTAS aircraft to have an accident. it was before 1964 and if my memory is correct, took place in bad weather during take off. the rain and wind slewed the plane off to the side of the runway where a wheel doug into the soft shoulder, causing the gear to colapse and the engine to catch fire.

He was a steward for QANTAS then and said that a father ran over his family to get out in a panic through the over wing exit. and most of the passengers just sat in thier seats, The crew were later reprimanded because a passenger dobed them in for foul language, my grandfather said " we had to yell at them evacuate ! the plane is on Farcken Fire !!!" my grandads words.

But ive been on flights where engins blew great flames out of them on take off, and nasty turbulance that sticks every thing not stowed to the roof, then bam to the floor.

People used to ask me. Do these plane crash often ? which id answer, No sir, can't get em to work the same
