if you delete pictures at the requerst of a police officer, then he must have thought you are doing something wrong and as such has he not then violated due process?
No. I think asking you do delete photos would violate the protocols of most police departments, but if you delete the photos, that's you being stupid and the officer isn't responsible.
Of course, if the photos were vital to a case, then the officer would be guilty of accessory or conspiracy to obstruct.
Due process is pretty much only the bill of rights, Miranda, and a few privileged conversation, correspondence, and records. Pretty much just covers your right to a fair trial, and your right to not be incriminated by yourself, your spouse, defense attorney, etc...
