I don't frequent this section very often, but then I noticed the title from the main screen and it piqued my interest. Impressive, though I don't see how he could repair the tires and re-inflate them. But then I don't know much about what tools and repair items a Bush pilot carries. I don't think I would be comfortable with the location of the gun case though.

100mph tape and as much 550 cord as possible.  You can build anything with that combo.

Technically that part is only aerodynamically needed.  Still within FAA regulations.

Yes...in fact that sort of looks like a hangar... right behind the gravel-paved tie-down where the aircraft is parked...


I could see this plane being flown with the duct tape wrapped around the fuselage (for a little while, anyway), but I'm not so sure about the right horizontal stab (shown clearly in the first photo). Pretty hard to fix that with duct tape.
