Ah, you looked up the registration. From what it says on that page N400EX has multiple records. This means that the registration has been issued before. Apparently for a Gates Learjet 35A. This was cancelled in 1992.
This couldn't happen with a UK registered aircraft as CAA registrations are only issued once.
No Doug, I am talking about its a Extra 400 Flugzeugbau, or is Flugzeugbau, German for Airplane?
