Here are some older random picture from my local airport I had sitting on my hard drive :) I was thinking about trying to upload some of them on A.net but I don't know :-/, it's worth a try I guess ;) ;D

I believe that is an RV-8.  Sliding canopy and straight gear as opposed to tip over canopy and sweptback gear on the -4.

I guess that would be right :P there were two RV's there and they were doing some aerobatics over the field, I wish I had one ;) ;D

Ah...I quite like it  :)

Not sure that any of these are quite up to Anet though.....always difficult to tell from small shots of course, but I have quite some experience of rejections  ;)

I'll just tried anyway the worst they can do is say reject it right? :-/ :P The real pictures are 1600x1200 so these are very compressed compared to the originals  :P Not bad for a 1.5 mega-pixel camera ;D

The RVs are a great series of airplane.  Not many airplanes handle so well slow or fast.  I am planning to start construction on a RV-7 this winter/spring.

Getting shots on A.net is overrated anyway (IMHO). I stopped doing it because it was making me give priority editing to photos that were in their style, and I don't like that.

A fair point, however I do quite like the notion of having one of my photographs retained in a database as a lasting record of that aircraft at a point in time, as opposed to a single post in a forum which will get lost as the forum progresses.

At the moment it is a motivation for me to take technically good photos, and edit them well. I know they will not all fit the Anet style but with some it is worth trying anyway. Once my photos are as good as yours Steve then maybe Anet will lose it's appeal as a bar for which to aim  ;)

To this end I have (possiby foolishly) submitted the Tornado from my sig. It will get rejected for soft I am sure, but I like it so much I cannot resist trying  ::)
