Well, if I go West and keep going, eventually I'll make it to England...

Perhaps one of these days, chaps... but this year I think I'll use my paid vacation time relaxing and flying here at home. But I never had much desire to visit the UK until I learned more about the aviation scene there; it's definitely on my list.
Hey, don't forget the East Coast of the US: plenty of nice little airports and gorgeous scenery here, too. Get the SRTM scenery for NY State and take a FS flight up in the Adirondacks sometime... or better yet, come visit, and I'll fly you up there... fancy bumping around over the mountains in a 150?

There's also a nude beach down at the NJ shore... wink wink, nudge nudge...500 feet AGL...

Re McQueen: I'd forgotten he was a pilot, Fozz- figures. As cool as he was, how could he not be?

I'm reminded of the end of
The Great Escape suddenly...

And I realize suddenly that I don't think he ever flew in a movie... or did he? The only improvement in the remake of
The Thomas Crown Affair was that they used a sailplane instead of a dune buggy in that one scene... not that the dune buggy wasn't awesome, but a Stearman would've been even better!
