Thats not my point - my point was that nobody considered alternate explanations for the AI reading 0. Nor did I say that flyboy was actually on his approach, it was simply a theory to be considered before jumping on the 'slew' bandwagon.

You won't fly with me because somebody we've never met 3000 miles away once had an idle throttle on final in FS9?? With standards that high i'm suprised you fly anywhere.

It's so nice I didn't even notice the gauges... maybe it's because I'm not usually looking at the gauges on final- in a Cessna, anyway.

Not to give you a hard time, J., but I'm curious: why did you slew it?
And... still not giving you a hard time, but: why are you off-center if you used Slew to put it there?


[EDIT] OK, I've looked again; the radios are off, and the throttle's all the way out (prop not feathered though- naughty, naughty!)... this is a 182, right? Why would the VSI and ASI fail if the electrics are off...?  Maybe the pitot head is iced up, and the VSI reads zero because you've halted your descent?

If you guys really care that much, I had actually landed before, and thought "Hey, this would be a neat screenshot. Maybe the guys at SimV would ENJOY it." So I slewed up and got in position. Whoop de freakin' do. I wasn't flying seriously. I did a hop from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Meigs and I wasn't flying a great deal of distance so I didn't bother filing a flight plan or using radios. Does it matter? I guess so. If you guys can't enjoy a screenshot for what it's worth, then don't bother coming into this forum. If you are actually that concerned about dissing someone you have NEVER even met in real life (except you, Sean. I don't mind you), then Simviation is definetly not the right place for you. I can understand if you're just joking around. That's what SimV is here for! We come to this place to relax, not criticize other people for "ooooh, slewing!!". But if people (Cheesegrater) actually care that much, then please, don't even comment on my screenshots. I love constructive criticizm. We all do. But bashing another person's shot? C'mon. If you're going to be coming to this site, act like an adult.

By the way, the fact you guys are so critical of it, kind of shows you don't even have a life. I'm not saying that in the usual, "Haha, you have over 1,000 posts, so you have no life". I mean, you must really not have a great deal to contribute to society, so you just spend your time bashing other people? Hm. Some people are so sad to me sometimes..

You said the aircraft was on an approach. It is not on an approach - it is suspended in the air.

BTW the suggestion to actually fly the approach is constructive criticism. If I said "It sucks bawls!" it would be otherwise.

My favorite type of screenshot is from the 2D or 3D panel on final. I like it when it looks authentic. We are aviation fans and we like attention to detail when it comes to airplanes.
