One passenger, Steve Jeffrey, from Charlotte, said the noise "sounded like the wing was just snapping off".

I'm sure if the wing snapped off, they would sure know about it. Perhaps not as loud as this T7, but still...

Video did show the right engine was stalling on take-off, but only after the same video showed a goose getting sucked into the same engine, which I would imagine may clog your intake of air just a tad.

Anytime there is an accident, the media and lawyers dig into that aircraft, pilot, and airline's past to find any dirt they can.   Oh no, that plane had a bad paint job 35 years ago, that definitely caused it to run out of fuel today.  ::)

I think the biggest problem with jets and turbofans eating birds is that even a modest-sized bird can mess up the compressor stage enough that the engine then starts eating pieces of itself... not good... but sure, stuff enough geese in there and it may just get clogged.

This is America, you don't need a logical reason to sue.  Expect a lawsuit from PETA any day now suing Airbus, US Airways, and the pilot for killing those geese.  Hell, maybe they'll sue the passengers as well.
