If your refering to default a/c i've had this problem in the Baron 58. My own fault for not completeing the preflight check, only to find at liftoff the the pitch trim control is in full up position. Haven't figured out why, might be from a previous saved flight.
If in add-on a/c , I have flown some that had auto trim, in which the pitch trim control follows your stick control.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
