Sorry to burst NASA's bubble but as any equipment left behind is no longer functioning, thus has been abandoned. It is therefor junk (Historically significant, but junk nonetheless). As such anyone with the wherewithal to get to it can help themselves to any souvenirs that take their fancy, and there aint a thing NASA can do to stop them
Having said that, fat chance anyone is going to be walking in Armstrong's footsteps any time soon.

Ah no, that's where the common knowledge is wrong: We are not ruining the Earth, we are ruining ourselves. The Earth is damn well capable of reestablishing the balance without humans messing around.
