Silly Cow

Scottish SPCA Inspector Kerry Kirkpatrick contacted the farmer after being alerted to the cow's plight.

He said: "When the job came through my first thought was, this is a wind up, but I arrived at the field to find the cow looking confused but surprisingly calm despite having his head wedged tightly in between the rungs of the ladder.

Methinks that SPCA inspector needs a biology lesson. ::) :D

Maybe it was a hermaphrodite cow and the inspector was just thrown by the necklace....

Always were when I was at school. Apparently this is not necessarily the case now. No wonder I'm confused. :-/ ;)

An adult female that has had a calf (or two, depending on regional usage) is a cow. A young female before she has had a calf of her own and is under three years of age is called a heifer  A young female that has had only one calf is occasionally called a first-calf heifer.  :)
A cow with a ladder is called a coniving bovine and guilty of trying to get up to the hayloft.

Thanks You two!  I'm not sure why they change them names like that.  Chicken-rooster-chicken(don't start H)  Bull-Cow-Steer-Hiefer,  Boy-Man-Girl_Woman-Baby.  All too confusing.
