FSX training videos

Postby Daveo » Sun Mar 15, 2009 10:52 pm

Hello,

Does anyone here know if there are any training FSX videos on flying aircraft in general?
I know there are the manuals, however are there any videos that show, reading instruments, while flying the aircraft.
I can never seem to find the runway, and glue myself to the instruments and still can

I'm sure youtube has some educational videos on the subject.

I think the most important advice we can give you to is to start off low and slow in a single engine prop aircraft. Practice the basics first, and then work your way up. Go through Brett Henderson's flight training series. Trust us, we've been doing this for years, and we know what we're talking about.

And another thing, don't be afraid to ask any questions. There are a few of us who have nothing better to do with our spare time than to sit at the computer, refreshing the forum homepage reading the newest posts ;D

Mobius, I like your avatar... 8-)
If I were to change my avatar to my favourite, it would have to be this ;D

Thanks Mobius,

You guys are great on this site.

Flying with me in a real aircraft at-this-time would be a hazard on ones health... and mine too.

I wouldn't worry about it, as long as the aircraft has dual controls... ;)

Thanks Andrew, I didn't know how many people would know what I was talking about. ;)

That's an FNH logo right? (never mind, I can see the image name ;D) I have to agree, they have some nice products there.

lol...I recently got the FNP-40. An Army buddy of mine happened to purchase an XD9 the same day, so we met at the range a few days later to shoot them for the first time. Not exactly my style, but the XD seems like a great pistol

Which model do you have?

I have the XD-40 with the 4" barrel.  I'm pretty happy with it.  It's not the most accurate pistol on the market, but it didn't break the bank, and it's great to learn on since this is my first one.  I've put around 250 rounds through it so far and I'm managing to get 9/10 rounds in an 12" circle at 50 feet.  Not that great, but at least I'm on the paper finally. ;D

So far, i'm loving the .40 cal. The only major drawback is that 40 cal ammo costs nearly twice as much as 9mm in every store I've looked lately, so i'm seriously thinking about getting a reloading press

:o Wow, I was originally planning on getting the 9mm for that reason, but where I've been buying it it's only a few dollars more per box.

I bought a box of 100 9mm rounds at Cabellas a week and a half or so ago for about $23-$24. The best prices on 9mm ammo I've ever seen is actually at walmart, but they've had a very difficult time keeping any in stock recently

Yeah, I've been trying to buy one of the bulk boxes from Cabelas, but they've been on back order for quite awhile.  I'll have to check out Wal-Mart though.
