If you think anybody's posts are spam, then simply don't read them, nobody's forcing you to click on them. If they're in a thread your reading, just scroll through them.
To put that in perspective, NDSP's post percentage is @ 8.95 Posts per each of his (present) 209 days here. Sure, that outdoes my 4.04 Posts per day, versus TSC's 4.08; another member involved in the related threads has 33.60 Posts per each of his 92 days since joining -- so what?For anybody who thinks NDSP posts to much, then maybe you should start a crusade against these guys as well:
Hagar = 13.65
Bjorn = 10.30
Rottydaddy = 9.52
Craig = 9.12
Peace people, it's only the internet.
TSC.
As I have said in another post, it's not how many posts you make that is the problem, if those posts are helpful and meaningful no-one has a problem, I think a lot of people find it easier to simply mention the post count than explain this.If you think anybody's posts are spam, then simply don't read them, nobody's forcing you to click on them. This doesn't really hold water in a forum. Surely we could just turn around and say 'just scroll past the porn spammers, no-one is forcing you to read them' ::)
Thanks for helping out. Its really appreciated... just I hope this doesnt cause more arguement
Scared of the big guys huh? :-?
Not sure if it helps or hinders my case, but i've been posting very little lately. But definitly people should aim for quality not quantity.

My point exactly ;)

If it was that noticeable people would have noticed... :-?
I think we need a Kudos system (also known as karma system, respect system, etc). Each user can only give one "kudos" an hour. So if you post a kickbutt screenshot or something, or are generally just being a good dude on the forums, people give you kudos. It means a lot more than the postcount; its showing what people think of you, not how many times people see your name.
As far as I know such a mod exists for YaBB, I'll go hunt it out if anybody's interested.
