Man those clickable thumbnails are tedious.. ::)

LOL... but they're worth it, I think...
A tip: paste the text for your first image and its thumbnail, then copy 'n' paste that link to match the number of images in your post. then just change the number in each one... a little less trouble, esp. if you use a numbering system as I do ("rot" +date+folder# + orer #). For the thumbs, I just add "th" to the end.

Hey Paul,.. Pick up some light traveling clothes and an overnight bag while you're looking around... plot a course zig-zaging between the peaks (normally aspirated Cessnas don't like climbing much over 10,000msl) of the Rocky  Mountains... Make your last fuel stop at Meigs... then angle northeast over Lake Michigan (you'll spend a good bit of time NOT withing gliding distance of land (man does the engine make funny noises then))... when you catch sight of the Mackinac Bridge, there's an Island just east of it.

Fantastic Photos, Brett...Many thanks!..

Oh admit it, California gets Hurricanes too...

The humidity is awful sometimes though.

But the sad part is, our Hurricane days are the closest to Snow Days that we get!  :-/

...and we mustn't forget the delights of Earthquakes in California, especially San Francisco...never a dull moment there....trust me.... ;D...!

Im a native New Yorker so in an ideal world Id like to live here (Im still in High school).  Although if I become a pilot, which is a strong possibility, Ill be at the mercy of the airline.  Although most domiciles Id be perfectly happy with.  Id ideally like to get a job where I can be based out of Seattle so I have the option of getting a job with Boeing if the air gets turbulent so to speak.
Check out my around the world tour!

Not in my 30 years of living there. Baja California in Mexico gets a couple, but none make it close to the US border.

http://www.usatoday.com/weather/whhcalif.htm

"No hurricane is on record as ever hitting the USA's West Coast, and meteorologists know of only one tropical storm that hit California as the 39 mph or faster winds needed to define it as a tropical storm.

California's one, confirmed tropcial storm came ashore near Long Beach in late September 1939 with 50 mph winds. Since this was before forecasters began naming storms, it has no formal name."
