Hey Paul,.. Pick up some light traveling clothes and an overnight bag while you're looking around... plot a course zig-zaging between the peaks (normally aspirated Cessnas don't like climbing much over 10,000msl) of the Rocky Mountains... Make your last fuel stop at Meigs... then angle northeast over Lake Michigan (you'll spend a good bit of time NOT withing gliding distance of land (man does the engine make funny noises then))... when you catch sight of the Mackinac Bridge, there's an Island just east of it.
