well, we could get hit, but the damage wont be anywhere as bad as in new orleans. First of all, we are above sea level (barely), second, we are fifty miles inland, and finally, we have a bayou system that will help to aleviate flooding.
I and my family are aware of the dangers we face by staying. We have plenter of rooms in our house to go to if needed, we have enough food and water to last a while. We are going to move all of our loose stuff out of the backyard, and try and keep safe. The hurricane will hit in the middle of the night, so I will probably sleep in a different room because the room that I sleep in, the bed is right under 3 large windows. I will probably make sure that my cat is safe, that I know where she is at night, since she'll probably be hiding. We will probably put my dog in my parents room with them because in our main entrance way, whe have huge windows, and a chandelier, and in the unlikely event that wind bl0ows out the windows, my dog would need to be pretty far away.
So wish me the best of luck that NOTHING happens, and I will keep you updated as long as we have power.
