You ain't nowhere near.
welcome back Woody, how was your trip?
You ain't nowhere near.
It doesn't always take much "between the lines" with some of us. I've rarely started a thread but I'm quite open and can respond to almost anything, which I've tried to be careful of here. I'm taken aback when someone responds as if I'm attacking them since, like most everyone, I strive to be understood, not necessarily agreed with. As someone else has been told recently, if I'm attacked I can return fire; if I see that same person being unfairly attacked, I'm just as apt to defend them no matter what we disagree on.... I have strong views on most subjects, some of which I know would undoubtedly cause offence. To avoid this I try to bite my tongue & keep my more controversial opinions to myself. This is not always successful which leads to me saying something I might regret later. I'm not in the habit of saying things behind people's backs that I wouldn't say to their faces. My problem has always been that I'm too honest & was never afraid of saying what I think.
PS. I think it's a mistake to know too much about people. By reading between the lines in their posts I already know far more about most regulars here than they might realise without them going into specific details or revealing personal information.

We're very much alike Paul. In fact it's quite frightening to think about.![]()
Apart from our age, the main difference between us is that I'm a tad more diplomatic. At least, I try to be.![]()
Foz me old fruit no religious type comments allowed on the forums (whether for or against)! Deary me when are people going to listenHonestly it is as bad as being in class teaching little children..... time for a cup of tea!
Don't do it again or I won't give you the combination code to Jordans chastity belt.
I should have known better than post this. It was intended as a poke at the stupid beaurocrats in the EU - a political subject which is quite rightly banned here. It seems to have turned into a debate on religious & moral issues so it might be best to delete the whole thing.

"Hi George, can we discuss your problem"......!

Don't kick yourself, Hagar. So far, at least, he's still registered but...I deeply regret posting this topic now. It seemed a good idea at the time but I had no idea it would result in this. It might have been best if someone had done as I suggested... ...days ago.
