Are you certain of that Woody? It was always Boadicea in my day, pronounced Bo-diss-ear. Boudicca, Boudica or whatever seems to be a modern interpretation. I've only seen it spelled/pronounced like this in recent years.I always thought this was just another one of those trendy theories with no basis in fact. They seem to like messing around with everything these days. ::)

Many people suspect that I actually knew her. I emphatically deny that although I wouldn't be surprised if Fozzer was closely acquainted. ;D

I believe the theory goes that sometime in the dark ages a monk decided that Boudicca was a ghastly name and changed to to Boadicea to no doubt make her sound more regal and girly. No one's going to chastise you too much though if you say it either way. Though think carefully before you speak to a large, red haired woman on Platform 10 Kings Cross station. ;)

LOL I'll take your word for it, I usually avoid large red-haired women anyway. They scare me. :o

I'm used to almost everything I was taught at school turning out to be wrong - according to modern "experts" & their trendy ideas. Makes things a tad confusing when you have to start all over again.

PS. You'll probably have the same experience after you leave school. They can't resist messing around with things. >:(

Fear not. In my mind I'll always be right. ;D

And as for the Boudicca/Boadicea issue, one is the classical way to say it, the other's the historical way to say it. Neithers wrong, and the chances are, neithers right. ;D ;)
