It will probably just load now, just like FS9 (FS 2004). You won't have to go the registering process every time you have to uninstall/reinstall. It shouldn't be a big deal as far as know.

Before I get into a panic.......
I purchased the original "FSX Deluxe Edition" when it was first released...
..and that's what I currently have installed on my HDD.
Do I need to download and install any more recent; "upgrades" to that original program, before they become unobtainable?
Many thanks......!
Paul...FSX and FS 2004... 8-)...!

Probably should just to be on the safe side... not that you'll ever likely leave FS9, but if you do...

Paul,
You can download SP1 and 2 from here-http://www.microsoft.com/Products/Games/FSInsider/downloads/Pages/default.aspx
SP1 may be adviseable as it contains performance upgrades. You need sp1 installed before sp2
Sp2 addresses some multi-player issues and provides Dx10 preview, so you may not find it necessary.
If you would buy Acceleration or Gold, SP1 and 2 are included.
