Help with adding textures

Postby clarkey13 » Tue Jul 20, 2010 8:49 am

When I add textures to fsx, the plane comes up on the menu fine, but when I go to fly with it, the logos etc. are all a smudge, this does not happen with any other of my planes. Help would be greatly appreciated :D http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/ad198/clarkey13/w.jpg

All new textures do that?

I am not a BIG FSX guru, but my guess is it have something to do with your graphics settings. Try setting your global texture size slider a bit higher?

Some of my addons do that in FS9 & FSX. Haven't found a permanent cure but zooming in on them & back out usually clears them up.

That looks like a mipmap issue.

Some cards handle them well, while others do not.

Easy fix:
Loading the offending textures into DXTBMP and saving them without the mipmaps enabled will usually fix this.
