Is there a fix for this?

There as to be some way, because you can make airplanes for FS9 and make airplanes for FSX, so there has to be something! I wonder if you could contact someone who has made an airplane for FS9 and updated it for FSX that works :-?

This doesn't add much, other than a little hope.Thanks. Maybe some ingenious individual will find a fix. We can always hope.

It's not easy like that.
When you make a plane for FSX, the materials are different, the animations are made differently, even the textures are different. Converting a plane from FS9 to FSX is a very deep rebuild of the plane itself, and it's certainly not something that Mr.Everybody will be able to do

So the fact that the FS9 props are drawn behind (sometimes in front) of the clouds is due to the fact that FSX is optimised to draw FSX-format objects, and FS9 format objects are not drawn in the correct way anymore. That's why you get FPS impact with FS9 planes, as well as minor graphic glitches like those props.
Patchz, you'll be glad to know that Milton's Howard 500 and Spartan Executive have been converted to real FSX SP2 native format. Milton gave the source files to another guy at SimOuthouse, and he rebuilt the planes with FSX tools to make them real FSX aircrafts. They are available at FSNorthWest.

Nor-Cals Spartan is an update of the FS2004 version.
The FSX Spartan at FSNorthwest is a complete rebuild of the model thru the FSX SDK which makes it a true FSX aircraft.
