Hi , I just completed porting-over an FS9 Aircraft to FSX , everything works fine except for the "screen" where the bottom part shows part of the 2d gauges . I encountered the same problem long time ago , but for the life of me, I can't remember what I did to fix the problem . Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.
I believe you're talking about the screen that is not using all of the space, and the bottom of the screen is not refreshed anymore. This is due to the 2D panel definition. In the panel.cfg of that plane, look for a line that tells: render_3d_window=1. Change it to render_3d_window=0.
I believe this is a texture that is supposed to give some "consistence" to the canopy window. The problem here is that the texture is not transparent enough. The solution would be to edit the alpha channel of this texture to make it darker, so that it gets more transparent. You'll have to use DXTBMP.
I tried switching the BMP to DXT but that did not go well (using bmp2dxt) , not sure how to do it with DXTBmp because of the lack of ability to "batch proccess" . Any idea what to do with ALPHA reversal and what to do with the conversion to DXT ?
Not sure what's happening now, scenery is flickering haphazardly, in flight flickering is so bad I'd have to exit out of FSX !!! What's happening all of a sudden ?? Please advise
