I am aware that most POSKY 777 models were first for FS2004. Most of them have been tinkered with to get them to at least fly in FSX. But here's my confusion, aggitation, curiosity, and bewilderment in regard to the POSKY 777 Models:
Why is it so difficult to get them to work in FSX? Why is there always trouble getting their VCs to work? Why do some of them have a VC and some of them don't? And why are the only good/cool ones made for SP2?! Do THOSE even work?! I don't even know which ones will!
I have seen that there are 3 different versions of the 777-200 Delta new colors, for example, and I have tried one of them so far, and it just makes FSX say it "Encountered a Fatal Error."I'll select the aircraft, click fly now, and the instant it loads to 100%, It gives me that message. What happened?!
I don't even know which one of the 3 on this site it is, so I can't even tell what to do, or what to look for , or, or... I... I'm just at a total loss!!! I don't want to be offensive, but I am just not understanding why POSKY-made aircraft are such a pain in the butt!
Please, don't get angry, or offensive in your reply, I know someone probably will or would have had I not tried to explain myself this completely. Can someone, or, better yet, several people explain (POLITELY) to me why POSKY aircraft are so difficult to work with?
I really admire these aircraft, there the coolest things to have in my opinion, but I can't get very many of them to work properly. I currently have ONE that works with a VC and a 2d panel, and everything runs the way it's supposed to. But why is this case not the same for other models?
And then people will make downloads titled "VC for POSKY777's" and it's supposed give you a wroking VC with the right gauges and stuff, and that never works either (Except for the 2d panel)!!!
I just don't know what to do. I need support. I need information, I need enlightenment. Please people, PLEASE, I love these things but they just don't work, and it makes no sense!
Thanks!

Hey, you seem to know a lot about this. Can you do me a favor?
Please get the VC and 2d panel to work on the following aircraft:
Page 74:
United New Colors 777-200POSKY
I really want to see this work, so you can possibly explain to me what you did and how you did it. Is this ok? I would really like it to work on this one, most of all. If I just had an example like that, I think it might be easier for me to try it. You don't have to upload it if you get it to work, just post pictures and explanations, so I can see how you did it.
Can you do this, PLEASE?!?!?!

**ADDITIONAL NOTE**
Look in your FSX root directory folder for a module named msvcr70.dll. You might need it for some FS9 default gauges to display properly. A quick search on Google should find it if you need it. - Courtesy of Hagar
**NOTE**
The Posky 777 if downloaded from SimV, not all of them include the files necessary to get the VC working. While it does include the entire aircraft package, you will still need to go to the Posky website to get all the necessary VC files. Once you have those, then follow the instructions below.
Also note, I have tested these instructions over and over again with FSX SP2/Acceleration on an XP based machine and a DX9 graphics card.
**UPDATE AGAIN**
Got an easier way to set this all up to get your vc gauges working. Quite simple actually. First, go here;
http://www.simviation.com/simviation/st ... 60&page=24
Download the 777 package (2nd from the top). This is the default FS9 777. Once downloaded, open the panel folder. You will see a single gauge file titled, "Boeing 777-300.gau". Take that and put it in your main FSX gauge folder. And thats it! Your vc should have all the gauges and buttons working. You wont need anything else from the download, so do what you'd like with it. You can then modify the config if you'd like to... but keep in mind, its not at all necessary. I just made my own changes to spice things up a bit. Only real necessity is the "//" in front of "gauge00=Pky_glassdirt!Pky_glassdirt" below the Vcockpit03 section of the panel.cfg
This is what you will get
Only real change I made in the config from before is to keep one of the eicas panels as the default 777, and had the other one from the 737-800, as well as changed back the pfd screen to the 777.
I have posted my latest panel.cfg below. This reflects the latest panel on Posky's site, and a few changes I have made. All changes are in red text.

Alot of people have the Posky 777, but cant get their gauges for the vc working. This is how I got mine to work.

Basically I just used the gauges from the default 737-800. Much of the credit goes to Daube for figuring that out. I just chose a few different gauges to look more realistic. And looking at an actual 777 cockpit, this is pretty close. Here is the panel.cfg that I use. You can either make any changes accordingly, or just copy mine. Make sure to have a backup of the original just in case! Keep in mind, this is only for the vc, and not the 2d panel view.

Is there any way that someone can make a simple guide as to how to get the 777 working in FSX? I appreciate gtirob01's guide but it's a bit to messy and I can never get POSKY's 777 to work in FSX using it.
Also, is there ANY way to get the gauges to be the proper size in FSX?
