You're better off without it. Those Thumbs.db files shouldn't be there & are more likely to cause problems.
Those are created by Windows whenever you have Views/Thumbnails or Views/Filmstrip enabled in the Explorer window...
They are perfectly harmless to pets, people and files...
Not so. Try including them in a self-extracting zipfile & see what happens when you attempt to extract it over an existing installation.
There are 5 Thumbs.db files in CitationI-500.zip. I'm not suggesting that they are causing a problem in this case & this is a red herring.
