Lacrossefan: Phil Taylor suggests that where fps exceed 40/50 turning vsync off improves performance. He has a lot of suggestions in his three? part blog on SP1 including cfg tweaks. Follow the links on FSInsider to his blog.

:D:D

Teeeeheeee! Just plunked sp1 in yesterday. Didn't really tweak my config to begin with or anything like that so I didn't take out and replace my resized textures or anything. Just installed it soon as it downloaded. Now I AM FLYING! :o Wooohooo!
Love this patch.

Hi Ashaman,
Maybe this will help, if you still have some time to loose.

and something else occurred to me after reading PT's blog posts. It may be better to turn AF off in the video card drivers (set to "application preference") and set the sim filtering to "Anisotropic"
I would try that but do not enable AA in the sim and leave AA enabled on the video card @ 4x
Anisotropic in the sim may actually be of benefit now.
Brett: you're a sceptic (disbeliever), not an aseptic which means you're clean and ready for surgery (on FSX I presume). I'm still four days away from being able to install into my machine, so I am finding these posts with their fixes, particularly NickN again, extremely exciting.

, at least not yet....

I am a Newbee in the FSX-Scene. But after a long download and following installation, I am pretty happy about the SP1. It increased the performance on my Laptop considerably.
Would be thankful to read experiences of enthusiasts, running the FSX on a portable Computer.
(damn, should have taken the other model at the store
, the one i got looks nicer and shinier though
)
