), there is a difference between a wet surface and a soaking wet surface. A damp surface will relect some light but won't produce a regonisable 'reflection' as such but a soaking surface will give a reasonable reflection. Simple.
If you look at the official FSX picture, you'll note it is raining. NO drainage system can disperse water imediately so there will always be at least a small amount of standing water on a runway or taxiway that has not had a chance to run off. There is another factor that is unique to airports, camber. Roads have a curve or camber to the surface so that water can run off quickly into the drains. Runways do not, therefore, water will drain slower and there is more chance of standing water even when it has stopped raining.
After this debate is finished though, it is more than apparent that reflections will be part of FSX, to what degree though, we'll have to wait and see.
