Moving runways

Postby Paintwagon » Tue Sep 25, 2007 5:10 pm

When approaching or leaving an airport, all the runways seem to be "moving" except the one I left or the one I am  approaching. Is this some kind of filtering problem??

Hard to tell from that description ....but if your mip mapping level in the sim is higher than 4.,...it usually causes weird visual artifacts that MIGHT be described that way.  Try lowering it if it is higher than 4.

I am just a train fan who happens to like flying and attempting to get the better of the mods especially those with 20/20 vision ;D ;D

It could be an add-on scenery or mesh conflict...

Do you have anti-aliasing enabled?.....

If not, then any lines (in this case runway edges and markings) that are not exactly horizontal or vertical on the screen will appear to 'crawl'.

If your graphics adapter's control panel has an anti-aliasing (AA) setting use that. Settings are usually 2x, 4x, etc. Use the highest setting that does not severly affect your frame rates.

If your graphics adapter does not have an AA setting then try setting AA in the sim: Settings>Display>Hardware tab....put a checkmark next to Anti-aliasing. (Leave it unchecked in the sim if you set AA in your graphics adapter settings)

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
