OS Question.

I dont know if this is the right place but i give it a try.
Does anybody knows if Fs 2004 runs on Linux, and if it does which one.

Someone else may put me right on this ...... but I don't think that FS will run on anything other than windows operating systems.

At the moment nobody has come up with a way to do this. Anyone who does will probably get a Noble prize or something

Thats a interesting idea. The problem is Micro$oft wants us to buy their operating system and simulator- not just the sim. Don't mess with Uncle Bill!  ;)

Last week one of my co-workers told me he could run any Windows application on his Apple. Don't know which Appe computer he was talking about but knowing him it would be one of the latest.

Under Linux there are emulators (that if Linux in on a Intel machine aren't all that difficult to make) that allow to install a windows virtual machine (from installation disks) in which you can use even FS, though the performance drop on a demanding software like FS might be severe. If you really have only Linux, it's better you remain with X-plane. It's not at all bad. It's not pretty like the various FS releases yet, but works well enough.

I forget what it is called, but you can now buy software from apple that installs critical system files from xp into os and allows you to run most xp programs on apples! My freind has it, and it is sweet!
