Well, to close this argument I decided to do a last try. To assuage any guilt I could feel towards the AI traffic finding themselves in a bad situation, I fired up the sim and opened LIRN under a wind of 8 knots from 240, like the other times, but this time put the visibility cursor to the minimum. :-/
Opened the sim with Naples in a soup the likes of London. With a visibility I only met once with real weather (in Bangkok, and was night too) in my very first world tour under FS9. A visibility that granted for a complete CAT IIIc autoland and that would grant the closure of the real LIRN (because the ILS there is CAT I only) should it happen for real. I file a dummy IFR plan and put myself in wait for some poor pisquano to land.

Ten minutes pass by, then a Transavia 738 announces itself at 4 miles out inbound VOR/DME to land.

VOR/DME? In
that visibility situation? :-?
Behind the Transavia there was a IFR Cessna 208 who was shooting the same VOR/DME for runway 24 at LIRN.

They landed nice and peachy, were handed off to ground and... I closed the sim. 8-)
No reason to poison my own blood anymore. They can make due all too well it seems, if they can execute a successful VOR/DME in CAT III conditions.

ILS is mine, Mine, MINE,
MINE ONLY... BWAHahahahahahaha... *cough* cough* *cough*... damnit. [smiley=evil.gif]
A shame for the poor saps of the AI... [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif]
Let the fun begin. My third world tour begins tomorrow.
There's but one real cure for human stupidity. It's called DEATH.
At the moment mourning the assassination of sarcasm and irony for the good of the "higher".
