I took off all the LI- beginning AFCAD's from active duty... I fear the strain was too much... I've killed it... [smiley=engel017.gif]

It's a quarter of hour that I'm seeing the ATC assigning take off at runway 6 at LIRN, with 8 knots wind from 240.

My god... what have I done... :'( :'( :'(

PS
And still didn't work. Still insists giving only visual clearances. I've had it. La misura

Well, to close this argument I decided to do a last try. To assuage any guilt I could feel towards the AI traffic finding themselves in a bad situation, I fired up the sim and opened LIRN under a wind of 8 knots from 240, like the other times, but this time put the visibility cursor to the minimum. :-/

Opened the sim with Naples in a soup the likes of London. With a visibility I only met once with real weather (in Bangkok, and was night too) in my very first world tour under FS9. A visibility that granted for a complete CAT IIIc autoland and that would grant the closure of the real LIRN (because the ILS there is CAT I only) should it happen for real. I file a dummy IFR plan and put myself in wait for some poor pisquano to land. :(

Ten minutes pass by, then a Transavia 738 announces itself at 4 miles out inbound VOR/DME to land. :)

VOR/DME? In that visibility situation?  :-?

Behind the Transavia there was a IFR Cessna 208 who was shooting the same VOR/DME for runway 24 at LIRN. :o

They landed nice and peachy, were handed off to ground and... I closed the sim. 8-)

No reason to poison my own blood anymore. They can make due all too well it seems, if they can execute a successful VOR/DME in CAT III conditions. :P

ILS is mine, Mine, MINE, MINE ONLY... BWAHahahahahahaha... *cough* cough* *cough*... damnit. [smiley=evil.gif]

A shame for the poor saps of the AI... [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif]

Let the fun begin. My third world tour begins tomorrow.

I'm really really sorry to keep resuming this topic but...

This morning I prepare everything to start finally for real my third world tour and took off, and suddenly... ATC remembers again that someone invented ILS somewhen in the 40ies.

I swear to God I did nothing...

I'm stumped, really.

I did nothing. NOTHING. I had resigned in keeping the problem as it was and...

I really don't get it.

Do any of you?

---

Anyway, on another topic, I've decided finally that this third world tour (strangely enough with ILS working now even in Italy) I'll go the other way. The other two tours had me going east to appease dominant winds. Not this time. First stop Frankfurt, and then somewhere in Scotland (have yet to decide) and from there onward toward Canada. Bid me nice travel, I'm right now overflying Pescara. :)

*Of course* you did something.
You removed the edited AFCADs.
It just took a few boots for FS to finally take notice.

Nope. :(

They're still ALL there. I tried taking them away, did not work and I put them there again.

DID NOTHING. For real.

I see then.
You *scared* FS to the point that it gave you back the ILS.

This actually makes for some sort of twisted sense. :o
