Is FS the only program affected, or have you no sound from the PC at all?
If just FS, you could look at the sound settings in the program and confirm that all the boxes are checked as well as having the sound sliders on high.
Sounds from your post like you've been adjusting or adding sound.cfg files? Careful here, as these files are normally tailored to a specific sound set. Try aliasing a plane's sound to one of your default planes and see if you still have the problem.









Here is the outcome nothing changed. A couple days later when I got on all the sounds are back to normal that included the jet engine ones. But the default 747 had vanished.

You either modify so often your FS to have lost track of your handling of the internal files or have a serious case of poltergeist going in your PC.![]()
