has ANYONE actually used this? i took a look at it, it looks like nothing i would ever use to train pilots.

its supposed to be a flight instructor... Supposed to be

cause when the student pilot searches, he's supposed to find:

I have...kinda like an MP session where you can conduct the flight... ;)

I've played with it too.. You, as the instructor, can monitor the flight (altitude, airspeed heading, etc.) and it keeps an analysis for review ("this where you lost altitude.. this is where you rolled out 10 degrees late.. this was where you messed up the hold, or where you entered it wrong... etc.")..

You can throw bad weather and x-winds at them..

I believe it was used on a TV documentary to simulate the Dam Busters raid.

I've played with it too.. It's great for IFR practice (and better than the FAA approved software).

It's a multi-player thing, but it's best used by computers right next to each other (obviously)..


hmm.. i guess. i figured having FSNet or Shared skies would be the best way...

Can an instructor throw weather challenges, or instrument failures, or system failures at a studdent with Fsnet ?  I can't remember..

The Flight Instructor mode is built in.. ready to go.. and it can be run between two computers that aren't online..
