I've finally managed to land this helicopter but then i have another problem. If I shut off the engines i can never get it take off again when i restart the engine. Anyone know what to do?
When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return – Leonardo da Vinci.
I set the sim to 4X (so things happen quicker) and increase the pitch using CTRL+F3 and CTRL+F4
Patients is a virtue! P.S It works great now with the time compression and things.

During\after startup bring up the collective (shift+4 or collective SimIcon).
Check the twist grip throttle.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
Thanks, that's all useful stuff as i now got it working.
