......I just used my Sound Blaster Creative Wave Studio, recorded myself (yes....with my Texas drawwwwwww, giddy ep!) until I got exactly what I wanted. Saved it in the appropriate .wav format and titled the wave file just like the default......

Alrot, you could be right. But there are some funtionalities of sound in the Flight Sims that are plain old .wav, mp3 etc. I and others have played with some of them.
One friend kept asking me to record myself reading a prepared script he wrote out. LOL, believe it or not, he was using my voice to create mission addons for his squad in Operation Flashpoint. He said I had a "crusty ole sarge from Texas" voice.
