Not at home so I can't hunt them down. But if someone tells you where they are, then you can have some fun with them.

You just need to keep the same name of the original .wav file. Record whatever you like and name it as the original.

I had done a few with gauge sound files before and came out pretty nice.

I just used my Sound Blaster Creative Wave Studio, recorded myself (yes....with my Texas drawwwwwww, giddy ep!) until I got exactly what I wanted. Saved it in the appropriate .wav format and titled the wave file just like the default.

I see no reason why you can't find those files and re-record them to whatever you want.

You are right Fozzer..........I hear myself on tape and I think,
"Who is that snaggle toothed hick from the backwoods".

Then I realize it's me and the image that I have of myself is dashed to smitherines!!

Alrot, you could be right. But there are some funtionalities of sound in the Flight Sims that are plain old .wav, mp3 etc. I and others have played with some of them.

One friend kept asking me to record myself reading a prepared script he wrote out. LOL, believe it or not, he was using my voice to create mission addons for his squad in Operation Flashpoint. He said I had a "crusty ole sarge from Texas" voice.

Yeeeeeehaaawwwwww! Let's finden usins a real TALL tree for this Fozzer varment!!    ;)

It would be pretty hard for Microsoft to pull off but what I'd love to see in a future version of MSFS is regional accents from all over the world. English is the official language of aviation but there's still always a little accent. It would make flying to far off destinations a lot more interesting to say have an ATC with an Oriental accent in the Orient etc.

As it is with the almost non accented ATC voices you don't have a bit of flavor when making an approach into a non-US airport. You'd think they all hired professionally trained actors from the midwest to man all the worlds control towers.

......To most people in the world, American English IS an accent....  :D :D :D

Dave
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Crumbs hit the "o" instead of the "i". They are right next to each other. Humph.

But what is an accent  applied to English ?

Some subtile sound modifications to make this language which, at the origin, can only be used in Oxford downtown,  possible to understand  for most people of the world  ;D
