Hello Crashcourse,
I wish I could give you a clue as to why you are having this problem with the twin. I love this plane, and I have been using it a lot lately to practice traffic patterns. Over the past week, I must have landed this plane over 50 times, if not more. I couldn't remember having the problem you are experiencing while in the cockpit view, so to double check, I just completed four landings using the CFG file that came with the twin (as an aside, I also did 5 landings using a modified CFG file I got from a yahoo.group site), and I didn't have any issues.
I didn't have any problems with any of the landings :-( They all were smooth from all views, including the view in the VC and 2D cockpit (even in instant replay). The only one that came close to bouncing was a fast landing at 700fpm, where the plane landed hard and got some air, but then settled down, with no further bouncing. I used fair weather; wind was a non-issue--according to shift-Z, wind mag. was 00 on all the landings. Two landings were on a grass airstrip and two landings at KBOS. My FPS were a bit lower than usually (I have the frame rate set to 24, but tonight they were around 13-17 in cockpit view. I think this was due to my setting the screen resolution to 1280 X 960 up from 1024 X 768 (I heard it would not effect frame rates, but I think it did tonight, but I am not sure--so even with less FPS, I still didn't experience any excessive bouncing).
Maybe you are having a conflict with your joystick/yoke? Maybe it's micro stuttering, and not the plane bouncing? I wish I could help. Do you have this issue with other planes? In other flying situations? A particular airport? I am sure some one here can help
Good luck,
(I guess I ramble when I am tired)
John
