To paraphrase Forrest Gump, "Auto-installers are like a box of chocolates -- you never know what you are gonna get."

Sometimes there is no plane folder and all the sub-folders go straight into the main FS200X folders. Now that's a real joy to sort out.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER put a new plane, scenery, gauge, or anything from a zipped file directly into the main system. One of the real naughty things that can happen is a newer gauge will be installed over one of the FS default ones and suddenly MS doesn't recognize it any more forcing you to reload from the CD. Lost the cessna182s.gau that way once. Do you know how many add-ons use that gauge set?

Regarding the splash screen, I vary the splash screen on every startup. Much more interesting that way.

I use the free randomizer from Dream Fleet.
