Load Manager?? Need a bit of help

Postby Mike Thurman » Mon Mar 29, 2004 10:22 am

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know how i can program a load manager for the planes i make. I know it's not some easy thing with 4 or 5 steps. But i'd really hate if if someone replied just saying "how chalenging" it is, and not how to.

So could someone tell me how ( if they know ) and not just "oh, maybe this, or that" ::)

Thanks,
Mike

Mike
Not quite sure what you mean by load manager, but if you are tlaking about changing weight and balance for each plane. That can be done by two ways.
1). click on the aircraft tab then click on fuel and weight tab then the payload tab. Here you can enter or change a weight
2). This way can get a little complicated as it envoles changing the aircraft cfg file. each plane has a weight and balance section and it is here where you can add weight to specific places in the air craft.
If you use the 2nd option I would suggest you look at some of the default aircraft and you will see lines in the weight and balance which look something like (STATION1=*****) I am not sure of the actual wording I am at work but I konw it is something like that I am not sure what each parameter is doing here and the order they are in. Which is why I never mess with this section.
I usually change the payload and fuel in the fist method to change weights.

Sorry mike went out on the wrong limb.

But I do rember seeing a program that would do what you want. But I can not remember the name of it or where I saw it at. You might want to check at AVSIM or some of the other many sites out there. I will try to look for it also I will let you know if I have any luck

Mike I'm guessing that you've already checked the 'aircraft&3d design' forum.
