A PBY Supercat just left the Museum of Aviation here in my home town.
It was one of the only planes that flew over Kitty Hawk for the Wright Bros. anniversary.
It was the first time I saw one up close, and you can imagine how amazed I was at it's size!! It filled just about the whole museum and dwarfed the numerous other warbirds there!
I hate myself for not taken pictures of it!!! They told me that it wouldn't be returning to the museum because it was set for display elsewhere, Miami I think.
But there is another one flying in soon, it was used in 1943 I think, as soon as it gets here I'll post photos for all to enjoy!
P.S. I just watched Tora,Tora,Tora last night and almost cried at all of them being destroyed on the airstrip! :'(
