Sorry, the PCIE is still at 125.
Clicked on the wrong setting and could not boot, had to go back and correct it
Yes on all of the settings. the system boots OK but as soon as CPU Test 1 starts it is still shutting the computer off.
I need to give it up for tonite, I have to have my wife down town early in the morning. I hate actually going down town, it is like driving in China Town during rush hour.
If there is anything else you want me to try leave a list.
If nothing else I will start backtracking until the test will run and give you a new list of how the BIOS is set up.
And thanks for the help on this, it is more of a challenge than I thought it would be.
I am going to buy the 9700 (hopefully tomorrow), and while I am at the store I can exchange the Memory for something different if you think it would be worth the effort.
Another odd problem with 3Dmark06. I ran the test again and it worked great. I decided to turn on the Feature Tests and the Batch Size Tests and try it. The first part of the test ran OK but when it got to the Pixel Shader it shut the computer down. I loaded the default settings in BIOS and it did the same thing. I then run the Feature Tests and the Batch Size Tests by themself and everything ran great. I tried a full test again and it once again shut down.
Prior to starting the overclocking the complete test set ran perfectly. Has me confused... :-/
