That's 99% of it I'm sure, I've been flying with a feather light touch on my stick for years, and going to a heavy springed, self centering stick was just intolerable for me, I couldn't rip it out quick enough despite voiding the warranty on the stick immediately.
Most of my flight simming is online combat simming. Force Feedback and springs provide feedback to the brain that conflicts with what I percieve as realistic, having had some aerobatic experience myself. I find that my imagination re-creates the forces much more accurately than FFB or other physical mechanisms, and I am much better off without those false inputs which are disconcerting, so a feather light stick is just what I need and truly enjoy.
I've become so adept at these "mind forces" that I find my hand is actually pulling muscle against muscle in high G pullups for example, weird I guess, but whatever works right ?
