Dear Mr. Bear,

As a long-time simulator hobbyist I was interested in trying out CFS3, regardless of all the critique and bad-mouthing it has received from the simming community. Your immature, insulting, boorish and obnoxious conduct in this forum has, however, evaporated my interest, because as an adult I definitely don't want to associate myself with individuals whose behaviour is as lamentable and childish as yours.

I find this a sad state of affairs not only for myself, but for the CFS3 community in general too, because I'm sure I'm not the only one put off by your lack of manners. Thus, I do sincerely hope that you understand this state of affairs yourself, and modify your conduct accordingly.

Hello Msalama. Welcome to the board. I see this is your first post. It's a shame that your first post is an attack on someone who has positively contributed to this board and CFS3 Simulation for quite some time.

You attack would have been more credible if you were already a veteran of this board yourself. In that way, we as a group would know who you were, where you were coming from and perhaps have some respect for your opinion.

Unfortunately, because you are a first time poster, your attack suggests that you are the type of person who drifts around message boards looking for trouble, or maybe a regular from the IL-2 boards wading in here to support your comrades; who are looking pretty foolish at the moment, if I may say so.

Everybody is entitled to their opinions, however misguided they may be. This includes you  of course.  So I hope you'll stick around here and post some more, and not just decide to leave the board because you are so angry at how you perceive it to be deteriorating.
That way we'll know you are a genuine board member and not just someone whose cerebellum has become a depository for excrement.

I've got to say that both programs suck  :)

I haven't been able to get CFS3 running on my machine (and haven't taken the time to fine tune it or get the CFS3 Update) and I haven't bought PF2, therefore I'm a complete expert on the pros and cons of both programs.

Now, you want a REAL nerve shattering simulation?  ACES HIGH (or Warbirds, I'll concede).  Okay so you're limited to a specific set of airplanes (I still hold hope that some online simulation will decide to do a Gloster Gladiator and/or Fiat Cr.32), but when you can have 700+ online in the same arena at the same time, set up in three different "countries", that has more appeal to me than flying against the AI of (grudgingly admitted good) box simulations.

(Of course maybe the appeal of outlfying a Yak and a Spit9 in a Spit 1 has my idea of fun).

Then there are the multi-frame historical scenarios ...

Maybe - well, not maybe, for sure - the boxed game graphics and eye candy are better the that for the online games, but  ....

Oh well, to each his own poison..

you're giving that guy an excuse to go about telling his buddies how rude and crude us neanderthal americans are.  anyway, I bought PF with great expectation.  i'm not interested in online play.  i want historical simulation of the pacific war.  i've since uninstalled pf.  the last time i visited pf forums, there's an undercurrent of discontent that oleg has seemingly abandonded them.

oh well, i love cfs2.  though i haven't pulled the trigger yet, i expect i'll be owning cfs3 soon.
