I read this the other day in the paper and the only thought that came to mind was...........How blood complicated do they want to try and make this, followed by, is this an eating carrots will make you see better in the dark story. I find it very hard to believe that the moon can make a difference to assembling an aircraft. Also I would have thought that a 1mm lunar difference could be mitigate by a bit of computer programming and then throw out the window again with varying pilot skill........?

I must admit, when reading the bit about the Moon's gravity affecting the Aircraft, suspicious old me, (as always), did a quick check on the date of the newspaper report....

....it being sometime in...April.... ... ....!

All, In a previous past, I worked on this aircraft for 21 years through design, development, manufacture, delivery and support. The alignment facility was required due to tidal affects of the moon and the resulting movement of the assembly building foundations. I cannot give more details for obvious reasons. The article refers to glass cockpit, this is nothing to do with the canopy and windscreen, but refers to the digital displays. Algenon.

I still find it hard to believe that 1mm of floor movement would make that much difference, still I only worked on old iron, Harriers and Tornado's. You live and learn...
