First day of Autumn only...

Good afternoon all...

With the first day of Autumn only ten days away from today float flying bugsmashers in my part of the colony will soon trade in their floats for skis.

Some locations north of us have already had snow but I assume most lakes are still open for float and seaplane use.

Today it is cold, damp and wet so I decided to fire up this electronic gizmo and do a few simulated float take-offs and landings with the Cessna 172.

Pictures one and two show slow taxi to designated water runway...




Who needs wheels...


Faster than a herd of turtles...


Tower and Traffic (on approach...1 o'clock high...just make out their aircraft landing light)


Full Flap Landing...


Looks like the Dawn Patrol did not wake anyone up...
