Funny things, "Accents", Dwayne....

Over here in the UK I can recognise which part of the UK folks come from....they sound slightly different from each other....
.....but in the USA, everyone, to me, talks with the same Red-Neck accent, identified by the regular uses of the words; Guys, Dude, Cool, Ya-all, Oh-my-Gad!,...and...AWESOME!....

As all the folks in the USA are imports from all around the world in the last couple of hundred years, I am always curious to know where the Red-Neck accent first originated!
I am truly fascinated by folks accents and types of speech, and I notice that in Britain folks are now copying American; "swaggering" style of speech....especially by the youngsters...

You look at this excellent map....>>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigratio ... ted_States and I ask myself, why don't all Americans talk; "German"?....

.....even Canadians speak; "American"!....

Its a funny old do!....

Paul...with a Cockney (London) accent...(slightly modified by a Herefordshire accent!)....
