one of the SU-34 available at avsim

this has to be the most unusual fighter bomber ever...the pilots sit side by side in a pressurized cockpit complete with a food warmer, cot, and toilet. I'll post some VC shots a little later.

That's a Su-34, not Su-35.
The Su-35 was formerly some kind of Su-33 with thrust-vectoring, meant to be a single-seat fighter.
This is a Su-34, Platypus I believe, long-range bomber, thus the cabin, and toilets !!

Sorry about the misnaming...its changed now. It wasn't just a long range bomber though, it was designed as a fighter/bomber and had the capabilities to fight air to air.

wouldn't want to be the one making coffee when the enemy was spotted....

thanks for the comments

The 'old' Su-35 = Carrier version+canards, non TVC
The 'new' Su-35: Old Su-35 + TVC
Su-34 = De-Navalized Su-32FN = Platypus. Comes with factory fitted massage seats (option on other Su-27 variants)
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

Errr...

A) The Su-33 IS a single seat fighter. It's a navalised Su-27.

B) The Su-37 has the TVC, not the 35.

[/mad nitpick]

Cool Shot.

Don't forget, the Su-34 ejector seats can also massage. ;) But if I were to buy an Su-37...is it possible to get one with LED MFDs? I wanna play pong on my MFD on the way to the target. :P

EDIT: Oh, I see Ivan has already listed a note on the massaging seats.  :D

Very nice! Yes the SU-34 comes in two Varients Su-34 and SU-34B! Flown both in combat on ArmA and it's sweeeT! too bad you cant walk arounf the kitchen ;D why don't americans build something like that :-? it would be a luxury for their pilots ;D ;D 4get airforce one :D

:-?

Layne, get your facts right, Su-34B is only there in ArmA, because there is no other way to refer to it! Same variant, different loadout. Armed Assault can bring NOTHING to the table in this discussion either.

It is the "successor" to the Su-32.

And you must understand, that people do not make planes for luxury (in combat at least) and "cool factor." The Americans have the B-2 Spirit and F/A-22 Raptor. They are both FULLY stealthy, are (to a lesser extent the B-2) multirole. The B-2 can carry cruise missiles, and gravity bombs, the Raptor, gravity bombs, newest generation of AIM-9 (the X) and the AIM-120. Lets not forget the GBU-12s and the (capability, I do not think that right now, it can carry Mavericks) capability to carry A2G missiles.

In fact, the Su-37 is the most recent name, su-35 was the initial one.... or at least, let's say the Su-37 was a Su-35 with thrust vectoring... Yes, I think this is more adequate.

And those Su-35 with thrust vectoring simply do not exist anymore, they were reverted to simple su-35 fighters with conventionnal engine noozles.

You know the Russians, they always give strange names. In fact, the su-35/37 may certainly also be called Su-27 with some letters behind, that provide a meaning to the role of the aircraft (one letter means naval or not, another means single or double seat, etc... I don't remember them anymore).

I agree for the Su-33, that's what I was saying before.

By the way, I had that Su-34 from FS9 before, with a nice-but-not-clickable virtual cockpit.
The problem is that the flight model is just ridiculous, the plane is over-powered and flies better than a XWing. Was there any update for it ?
