
Well I'm totally not surprised by the winner because she is one of the most iconic aircraft of all time. She lives up to the maxim of "If she looks right she'll fly right".
Whether it is the earlier models (the most manufactured being the V)
The unusual type 509 (Tr.9) two-seater (and the first one I sat in!)
Or her mighty final incarnation the Mk.24
The Spitfire always looks good with her graceful lines and elliptical wings.
