It left Too Short, near Des Moines, early in the morning, and set off to search for prey. Eventually, it smelt the delicious scent of meat.

It closed in, the luckless airframe ahead blithely unaware of the cold-blooded killer lurking behind.

Looming over its hapless victim, the skychickenshark closed with chilling efficiency.

Not an iota of pity was felt in its heart as its gaping maw opened to envelop its catch....

Burp!

Replete and content, the skychickenshark cruised at a leisurely pace over the countryside of the mid-west, searching for a convenient municipal airport where it could rest and digest its breakfast.

There was one, marked with an X in the clouds right above the runway. Heavily flopping onto the runway, it slowed before wriggling along a taxiway to a nearby hangar, where it lay still and quiet, nursing its distended belly and viewing its surroundings with its cold, baleful eyes.

I love how you used the perspective
