Shark attack

Postby krigl » Wed Nov 09, 2005 5:38 pm

The skychickenshark was feeling hungry... very hungry.

Image

It left Too Short, near Des Moines, early in the morning, and set off to search for prey. Eventually, it smelt the delicious scent of meat.

Image

It closed in, the luckless airframe ahead blithely unaware of the cold-blooded killer lurking behind.

Image

Looming over its hapless victim, the skychickenshark closed with chilling efficiency.

Image

Not an iota of pity was felt in its heart as its gaping maw opened to envelop its catch....

Image

Burp!

Image

Replete and content, the skychickenshark cruised at a leisurely pace over the countryside of the mid-west, searching for a convenient municipal airport where it could rest and digest its breakfast.

Image

There was one, marked with an X in the clouds right above the runway. Heavily flopping onto the runway, it slowed before wriggling along a taxiway to a nearby hangar, where it lay still and quiet, nursing its distended belly and viewing its surroundings with its cold, baleful eyes.

Thanks to DeadKennedy for his great skychicken repaint for the default C172... - it's the meanest little Cessna in town. :)

You could try asking Mr D.Kennedy for it, but if everyone asks he might get a bit tired... but you're not 'everyone', of course, Ozzy :)

He stated in a previous post that he's reluctant to upload it because the shark mouth was 'borrowed' from another painter's work, and the email address doesn't work so he can't ask for permission.

If he puts something in the ReadMe to the effect of trying to contact the person but being unable to (stating the reason such as an invalid email address) that covers things nicely (it is what is traditionally done) ;)

I know, I recommended he did this...it's a great paint and nice of him to let me take it for a spin, would be a shame if he didn't upload it because a lot of people would love it....
